Or maybe you'd like to...? Additional sales in various countries.

The clear leaders here are the American countries: El Salvador (88%), Honduras (97%), Guatemala (89%) and Colombia (85%) – the only countries that can boast a value exceeding 80%.

In Europe, upselling is most often proposed in Austria (80%), Russia (79%) and Switzerland (74%). Compared to other European countries, employees in Polandwho with the result 70% took 10th place in the ranking (ex aequo with China). In our country, additional sales are proposed more often than in other countries in the region: Germany (49%), on Ukraine (62%) Whether Belarus (63%).

In as many as 24 countries, employees propose upselling less than half the time. They practice it the least – along with Paraguay (17%) and Uruguay (33%) Mediterranean countries: Cyprus (34%), France (33%), Italy (32%) and Greece (27%).

We've already met the leaders of the continents and countries. In the next post – the last one related to The Smiling Report – we will show how often an additional product is proposed depending on the industry in which the company or institution operates.

Research methodology:

Globally, 489,223 questions were asked about upselling. Results from 50 countries were used in the analysis. The data is provided by companies that conduct customer experience research in their countries using the Mystery Shopper) – Quality Watch is one of them. As part of these studies, auditors – people posing as real customers – visit stores and institutions and check the quality of service. The Smiling Report analyzes such visits, taking into account only questions about smiling, greeting and upselling.
